The Holualoa Village Coffee and Art Stroll was on November 6th from 9 AM - 2 PM. In conjunction with the Kona Coffee Festival, Holualoa Village hosts the largest celebration of Kona Coffee and Art on the islandl. This year was the 22nd Annual event and Kumukahi Health + Wellness had a booth, offering various items including baked goods. We would like to thank everyone who donated baked goods, helped at our booth, visited our booth, and purchased baked goods or donated. We had a great turn out and sold out all that we had to offer. Thank you so much to our wonderful community members, we couldn't do this work without you!
Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) is an annual observance on November 20 that honors the memory of the transgender people whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence. This year TDOR was held via zoom. Thank you to all that joined us this year.
World AIDS day is an annual event held on December 1. On this day we commemorate those who have passed from AIDS-related illnesses, we show our support of those who are living with HIV, and we join in the fight to eliminate HIV. Kumukahi Health + Wellness will be hosting a virtual event this year with the theme of "unfinished business". You can still watch the the program which features a musical performance by Lito Arkangel and performances by Hawai'i Island entertainers. Please consider donating. All donations made will go directly to services for our clients living with HIV.
Every year, there is a period of time in which people can sign up for health insurance or change their current plan. The open enrollment period this year is from November 1, 2021 - January 15, 2022 and Kumukahi's Kokua team is here to help. Make an appointment with a certified assister or Kokua worker today.
